The Month of the Rosary

The Month of the Rosary

October is designated as the Month of the Rosary - a time for increased devotion to this prayer; a time to honour Our Lady and reflect deeply on the life of Christ.

This tradition is linked to the feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary, which we celebrated on 7 October and commemorates the victory at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. During October, we are encouraged to pray the Rosary daily, privately or in groups, and meditate on the life of Jesus through its mysteries.

This month also reminds us of the final apparition of Our Lady in Fatima, the day of the miracle of the sun.

The Rosary reminds us to slow down, meditate, and bring our joys and challenges to Mary, trusting that she intercedes for us with motherly care. Whether you pray a full Rosary or even a single decade, may this month inspire you to draw closer to Our Lady and her Son.
